CBLR Summer Camp 2020 Diving Deep into the Word! The Bible, God's love letter to us, clearly says that we are like sheep. What does that mean? What is the special relationship between sheep and their shepherd? About 3000 years ago, King David, one who had a special relationship with the God of our universe, reflected back on his days as a shepherd. In a brief poem of 118 words, he paints from personal experiences, a compelling picture of our human condition and our need for a shepherd. While this psalm is widely known and much loved, we who have never been shepherds or been around sheep miss some of the deep richness of David's work. This summer we invite you to join us as we seek a deeper understanding of this great psalm. We will be studying the book A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller. This week, John McKennon will lead us as we look at the statement " The Lord is my Shepherd" and apply what we learn to our daily walk. After a brief presentation from the book, we will break into our Roundtable groups to discuss the application to ourselves, both as sheep and also as shepherds of the sheep God has given us in our marketplace assignments. Please register for this meeting. If this is your first meeting with us, register as a First Timer. There will be a $10.00 fee. You can pay on-line or contact us at info@cblroundtable.com to make other arrangements. We will send you a link for your Kindle version of Keller's book and we will coordinate with you to deliver your paperback version as well.
