CBLR Summer Camp 2020 Diving Deep into the Word! The Bible, God's love letter to us, clearly says that we are like sheep. What does that mean? What is the special relationship between sheep and their shepherd? About 3000 years ago, King David, one who had a special relationship with the God of our universe, reflected back on his days as a shepherd. In a brief poem of 118 words, he paints from personal experiences, a compelling picture of our human condition and our need for a shepherd. While this psalm is widely known and much loved, we who have never been shepherds or been around sheep miss some of the deep richness of David's work. This summer we invite you to join us as we seek a deeper understanding of this great psalm. We will be studying the book A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Phillip Keller. Each week, we will examine a chapter of this book, and apply what we learn to our daily walk. When you register for this first meeting, we will charge you for your book. You can pay online or bring a check or cash to the meeting. It is important for you to register so we can have enough books on hand to start the study.
What can you learn by joining us at our Roundtable discussion? Here is a nugget from one of our recent meetings.
