She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Kansas and her EdS And PhD at Peabody-Vanderbilt. Over the years she has served as an 8th grade teacher, a college professor, a consultant with the U.S. Department of Interior, a desegregation specialist adviser and workshop leader for the Atlanta, Ga, Mobile, Al., and Memphis, TN School Systems and as a full time desegregation specialist with the Metropolitan Nashville Schools, Human Resources Director for Metropolitan Nashville Government, and co-owner of University Professors, an educational consulting firm.
She currently serves on BBC's Staff Resource Team, as a mentor to women via BBC's mentoring program, as a prayer counselor at Kairos on Tuesday evenings, is a member of the BBC Nurture Team which ministers to both members and non-members in numerous ways, she leads a woman's Bible study class that meets at her place on Wednesday evenings, and serves on the Board of Leadership Nashville. Oh yes, and she is blessed to be a member of Maurice Painter's Sozo Bible study class on Sunday Mornings.
I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and have personally accepted His gift of salvation. I believe the Bible is God's inspired revelation to man and I endeavor to live in obedience to its principles and commands. I am a member in good standing of a local church and support the work of Christ with my time, talents and financial resources (or am seeking out a church to be involved in this way).
